Mirror Art is a small family business run by Carolyn and Jim.
We guarantee a personal friendly service with all of our mirrors designed and made by ourselves. They can be ordered in any size, shape and colour, in any design to suit your requirements.
We exhibit at shows in the U.K.. A list of the craft shows is available on our "shows" page. Our work is inspired by Rennie Mackintosh, Clarice Cliffe and many others from the Art Deco period.
Our work has won several awards and has been featured in the Craftsman Magazine. We have also been invited to appear on Ideal World television with Barry and Alan.
We only use the best quality materials which is shaped and fixed to an exterior quality backboard to which chain hangers are rivited, all the edges are leaded and soldered.
The art work is done with lead overlay and hand painted with a cellulose based glass paint that gives a durable finish with vibrant colours. Different effect are achieved by using translucent and pearlised paints with a variety of painting techniques. The end product is a unique mirror that will last for years and become a family heirloom.
